Trina was a 17-year-old high school student who came to PhC for a pregnancy test. She was afraid to tell her parents about her pregnancy. She was planning to have an abortion the next day at the prompting of her boyfriend. When asked what she wanted to do, she said she “didn’t know” and “hadn’t thought about it” because she thought she didn’t have any other option. After taking time to look over the information we gave her and think about what she wanted to do, she chose to keep her baby. She was so glad she did.
