Luta was here on scholarship from Africa. She came to PhC in a panic stating she needed an abortion ASAP because her pregnancy would jeopardize her scholarship. She said, “There is nothing else I can do.” After presenting her with information about all her options and offering referrals to community agencies that could assist her with her situation, she decided to take a few days to consider her decision. She left much calmer knowing that she did in fact have choices. Later she found out that her scholarship was not in jeopardy.
